Batik

Traditional clothes are one of the most important things that need to be developed in every single countries, including Indonesia. Clothes are including in the primary needs, along with food and shelter. Every country in the world has its own traditional clothes that represents the country’s itself. In Indonesia, there are 33 provinces that has its own traditional clothes, such as North Sumatra with Ulos, Java with Kebaya and Batik, Papua with Koteka, and many more. Each type of clothes was affected by culture, religion, and nature. In the past decades, Batik was known as a formal clothes that was being worn only if there was a wedding, a ceremony, or any formal occasions. Nowadays, Batik was modified into a piece of cloth that is casual, depends on the model, and also it could be formal in the same time. Some people even matched it with jeans. Batik has many designs, patterns, and colours. Some people believe that if they see others, especially women wearing batik, whatever the model is, the cloth will show the unique characteristic, and the traditional Indonesian women’s beauty. It also could promoted the Indonesian’s culture, with its unique designs, and therefore could attract non domestic tourists to Indonesia. Automatically, it will also increase the country’s profit, create new jobs for thousands of people, and we could conserved the nation’s culture.
